Chateau de Sannes Wedding, Provence

Nestled at the foot of the Luberon, Château de Sannes is the pinnacle of Provençal luxury. With 73 hectares of estate, it offers the perfect setting for every celebration. Upon arrival, guests discover one of the last traditional Provençal windmills, stepping into a unique and magical atmosphere. The grounds are filled with centuries-old cedars, magnolias, and cherry trees, arranged around formal French gardens, a pond, and olive groves.
Originally built in the 17th century as a simple pavilion by Jean de Thibaud de Tisati, the château was later expanded with a chapel and a grand residence offering breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Restored with the utmost respect for its historic architecture, the château now spans 900 m² with five grand reception rooms and seven double bedrooms.

The best photo spots at Chateau de Sannes

This estate is a photographer’s dream, offering diverse atmospheres.

    My favorite spots:

    • Main garden alley: lined with perfectly trimmed cypresses, creating an elegant perspective for iconic shots
    • Château stairs: add drama and timelessness for editorial-style portraits
    • Château interior: dark, medieval ambiance contrasting beautifully with outdoor light
    • Pool and pond areas: ideal for sunset reflections and romantic couple shots

    Best time for photos:
Afternoon, especially in the gardens and around the pool

    Lighting tip:

Consider moving the final preparation shots to the château or outdoors for a cohesive look

The bridal/groom preparation rooms may be less aesthetic

    From a Photographer’s Perspective

Honnestly? It’s a magical location. The variety is incredible: from structured and elegant gardens to the château’s historic, raw interior All without leaving the estate.

    Memorable moments:

    • A simple stroll down the garden alley with perfect perspective and soft light — the location does all the work.

    Pro tip:
Bring a drone. The gardens, olive groves, and château look stunning from above, especially with the couple in the center.
